  • Goals: Qualify for Boston by 35, spend as much time outside as possible, yoga everyday, be well for myself and shed this light onto my daughter.

Running was a life changing hobby that started back in 2014, my final year of college. After
having been diagnosed with a tumor on my skull and surgery to remove said tumor, I had hit the heaviest weight I had ever been, my heart rate was sky-rocketing at rest, and I knew I had to make a change. My (now) husband and I bought a bunch of running gear and began running around a block in our neighborhood. What initially started as a campaign to lose additional weight I carried spurred a lifestyle change. In 2015, my mom challenged me to sign up for my first 5K. I fell in love with running and the competitive nature of the sport...whether it be with the person in front of me or just myself!

I had my first baby a year and a half ago and realize how much of my running is now
meditative...even though it sometimes takes me a few miles to actually grasp how I grateful I am for my legs and body! Come catch a few miles with me. I promise to cheer you on and together, we’ll get through this...and celebrate ourselves at the end!
