Stretch N Go

I have so many people to thank for training, helping, cheering. I just wanted to thank Pat and Dinty for all your help and the rest of the yellow group. I want to thank Gabe for cheering us on. I want to thank Greg Rust for pacing us and I hope his knee is getting better. I was in shock to see some of my customers on the sidelines cheering. A lot of them didn't think I could do it!

As for the Marathon, the challenge was the second half, which started at mile 19 when I had to stop and stretch my hamstrings. I stopped over to this railing and I couldn't lift my left leg. I was laughing, or crying, who knows? This lady asked if I needed help. I don't think, in my entire life, I have ever been so helpless. She pick up my leg and help brace me. Thank you, Karen!

It was "stretch and go" from that point on, but there was no way I was not going to finish. I was a little surprised to see how many people were walking at that point. For me, it hurt just as much to walk as it did to run, so I just kept running, thinking it will be over sooner.

I want to thank the 3 or 4 people near the finish line that yelled my name. I was so exhausted, I have no idea who they were, but if your reading this, Thank You.

My time was not great, 4:26 chip time, but I feel I can do a lot better next year. Looking forward to running with the yellow group again.
