Piano In A Nutshell Online

In today's busy world, free time seems to be a luxury. Some twenty years ago, the thought of teaching a short-cut approach to piano ---to adults who had never played an instrument and could not read a note of music -----was born. But my "Piano In A Nutshell Online" program affords one the opportunity to learn at their own pace, on their own time. My "short-cut" approach is for busy people. My course is different from others in that I will be on-call- for any questions and help that is needed. And of course! I am available for private lessons if one happens to be in the Houston area. Over 20 years ago, I developed and wrote a method and titled it "Piano In a Nutshell". The program was launched in my private studio with six adult students. The plan was to teach adults how to read notes, how to form chords, and best of all how to write their own music! My promise was that in six lessons I would show them how they could compose their own musical composition. And each of them did just that! Now I am launching my new piano course online. I hope that you will find it interesting, challenging, and most of all enjoyable. You can learn to play the piano! Who am I and what is my background? In my early years I was trained in the classical. I studied with the late Francis Mahr, a Julliard graduate, and Dr. Andres' Klein, a concert pianist --from Julliard and Rice University. I taught privately for over 15 years. I have composed and arranged my own compositions, been exposed to church choral music, volunteered as an accompanist. I served as an adjudicator in the Houston Music Teacher Association,---"Houston Piano Contest program", and participated for many years in the National Music Teachers Association---entering my students in the annual judging program. My music background also included flute in High School Concert Band and Marching Band! I am currently working on a web-site to be advertised soon. For now, my contact is Buongiorno_j@msn.com.
